Itinerary

Day 1: Cochin to Munnar - Arrival & Transfer

Arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet and assistance.Transfer to Munnar . Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, On the way, visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls; both of these are seasonal attractions, along with tea plantations. On arrival at Munnar, transfer to the Hotel. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum . Evening have a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise.overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 : Munnar - Full Day Sightseeing

Morning after breakfast full day visit to Munnar. Mattupetty dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothamedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing. Shopping & overnight at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 3 : Munnar - Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to visit the Eravikulam National Park “where you get to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr”. Later on proceed to visit Tea Museum / Factory. Back to the hotel after an exciting day. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4 : Munnar to Thekkady - Transfer & sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Thekkady , on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady. One of the world’s most fascinating wildlife reserves. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice Plantation.

Day 5 : Thekkady to Kovalam - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kovalam, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Kovalam.Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. Sightseeing : Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo, Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabha Swami Temple.

Day 6 : Kovalam/Poovar – Kanyakumari Day Trip (90 KMS – 03 Hours’ drive / One way)

After early breakfast proceed to Kanyakumari – visit Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Rock, Triveni Sangam and Gandhidham. Evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kovalam/Poovar.

Day 7 : Kovalam to Alleppey - Transfer & Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from Hotel and drive to Alleppey, on arrival check in to the Hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Alleppey. An important backwater destination attracting thousands of tourists every year, who come all the way to enjoy Alleppey for what it offers. Referred to as the Venice of the East, the place is home to diverse animal and bird life. Alleppey is also famous for its beaches, marine products, coir industry and boat races. A singularity of this land is the region called Kuttanad land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Sightseeing in Alleppey: Vembanad Lake, Alleppey Beach.

Day 8 : Alleppey to Cochin - Departure

After breakfast checkout from hotel / Houseboat (As per your stay ) and drive to Cochin Airport / railway station (depending on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling content about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God’s Own Country.
