Day 1: Arrive Leh / Shanti Stupa Sightseeing &; Local
Arrival Leh Kushok Bakula Airport (This must be one of the Most Sensational Flights in the World. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the Nun Kun massif.) Upon arrival you will met by our representative and transfer to Hotel for Check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize followed by Welcome tea or Coffee at the Hotel. Evening visit Shanti Stupa. Later visit the market (stay for 01hour only). Return back to the hotel. Dinner will be served at hotel.
Day 2 : In Leh / Sham Valley Excursion Upto Sangam / Enroute
GURUDWARA PATTAR SAHIB /SPITUK MONASTERY /HALL OF FAME
After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Lehis worth a visit for every Indian, The Hall of Fame Leh is a museum that is constructed and maintained by the Indian army. Hall of fame is located near the Leh Airfield. This museum is built in memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives through the Indo-Pak wars. After Fame Museum Sightseeing proceed to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib Nestled deep in the Himalayas, Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, is a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh, on the Leh-Kargil road, 12000 ft above sea level. The Gurdwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith. During his lifetime Guru Nanak travelled to many distant places and one such place was Tibet. Guru Nanak is well respected by Tibetan Buddhists who consider him a saint; The Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Buddhists in Tibet, has confirmed this in his discussions with someSikh leaders saying that Tibetans revere Guru Nanak as a Buddhist saint under the name of Guru Gompka Maharaj.
Later drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity &; further Driving through a picturesque landscape we reached the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. After visiting above places, we drive back to Leh Enroute visiting Spituk Monastery, built in 15th century during the reign of Grags ‘bum-lde, these new Gelug-pa monasteries was built like fortress on the summit of crags. Later return back to Leh. Rest of the day at leisure. Magnetic Hill One such sight attraction is Magnetic Hill, the place where gravity takes a backseat. Lying at a distance of around 30 km from Leh, the Magnetic Hill is marked by a yellow signboard which reads “The Phenomenon That Defies Gravity”.
Sangam is the confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers in Ladakh. It is located 35km from Leh in Nimmu, on the Leh Srinagar highway. The two rivers can be separately seen meeting at this point. While
the Indus River appears as shiny blue, Zanskar River appears muddy green. Spituk Monastery Spituk Monastery, also known as Spituk Gompa or Pethup Gompa, is a Buddhist monastery in Spituk, Leh district, Ladakh, 8 km from Leh.[1] The site of Spituk was blessed by the Arhat Nyimagung. It was founded by Od-de, the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub OD, when he came to Maryul in the 11th century. He introduced the monastic community. When Lotsewa (translator) Rinchen Zangpo came, he said that an exemplary religious community would arise there, and so the monastery was called spituk (exemplary). During the time of Dharma raja Gragspa Bum-Ide the monastery was restored by Lama Lhawang Lodos and the order of Tsonkhapa was introduced and it has remained intact as such till present. Founded as a Red Hat institution, the monastery was taken over by the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat sect) in the 15th century. (IF YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT TIME) After sightseeing back to the Leh Hotel. Day 3 : Leh To Nubra Valley Via Khardung La 18,390 Ft.
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel. Meet our and drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road in The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a LADAKH home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at White Sand Nubra.
Day 4 : Nubra – Turtuk- Nubra / Day Trip
After breakfast leave for visit to Turtuk. Turtuk is about as close as you can get to Pakistan in India, physically and literally. This delightful village is crunched into the narrowing Shyok River valley in the furthest corner of India, right at the tippy-top of the map. Only when the Indo Pakistan war ended in 1971, Turtuk (together with 5 other Balti villages) was then included within the Indian line of border control. It remained off limits until a few years ago and keeping it well off the the beaten track. Turtuk in every sense a treat – culturally intact, untainted by tourism and simply delightful. Return back to Nubra valley. Overnight Stay
Day 5 : Nubra To Pangong
After an early breakfast check out and head for Pangong Tso via Shyok. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hrs. On arrival at Pangong, check into camp for overnight stay Overnight
Day 6 : Pangong Lake To Leh
After breakfast, leave Pangong to Leh route Across Chang-La (17800 ft). Enjoy the panoramic views on your way to Leh. Upon reaching Karu, you will drive across the Indus via Shey Palace and visit the famous Hemis Monastery which is the biggest monastery of Ladakh. After spending some time here you will head towards Leh, en-route visiting the picturesque Thiksey Monastery. This 12-storey complex is one of the famous monasteries of the region. Snuggled at an altitude of 3,600 m above the sea level, from here you Can get the breathtaking views of the valley. Upon your arrival at Leh, you will have an assisted transfer to the Hotel. If the time and energy permits you can visit the market. Overnight stay.
Day 7 : Departure
Tour concludes. Thanks, you for your patronage. Transfer to Leh Airport to catch the flight to your onward Destination.
