Itinerary

Day 1 : Guwahati Airport / Railway station - Guwahati hotel

You will be received and greet by our company representative/driver and proceed to Hotel. In the evening one can enjoy River cruise on the river Brahmaputra (On Direct Payment & Subject to Availability). Enjoy overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 2 : Guwahati Local Sightseeing - Shillong Drop (Approx 4 Hrs)

After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha temple, Balaji Temple, state Zoo. After sightseeing transfer to Shillong. Enjoy overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 3 : Shillong - Jowai Excursion

After breakfast start for Jowai to visit India’s most magical waterfall Krang Suri Waterfalls. Get drenched and swim in the natural pools . Also visit Phe Phe Waterfalls & Laitlum Canyon . After the sightseeing drive back to Shillong. Enjoy overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 4 : Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki - Shillong

After breakfast enjoy an excursion tour to Mawllynong and Dawki (100 kms / 03 hrs drive approx , it is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mawllynong). Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong- Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, *a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of this Village and with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis. (Also visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock). After that visit Dawki, a small border town in the Jaintia Hills, Dawki and its famed river Umngot is a must visit if in Meghalaya. Sandwiched between India and Bangladesh and also famous for its tourism scene, with many people flocking to the city in order experience a boat ride in its famed Umngot River and enjoy the nearby sights and soundsThe city becomes a hotbed of tourist activities especially during the spring months as it hosts the boat riding competition on the Umngot River. The surrounding greenery, the cold water of the river and the beautiful suspension bridge on the River Umngot make Dawki a place worth a visit.

Day 5 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee Sightseeing (Approx 60 KMS / 02 Hrs))

After a delicious breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Cherrapunjee. It is also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It’s known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. To the northeast, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point overlooks verdant gorges. In the surrounding hills, the Noh-Kalikai, Dain-Thlen and Kynrem waterfalls plunge from forested clifftops. South of town, Mawsmai Cave is illuminated to show its stalagmites. On the way to Cherrapunjee visit Elephanta Falls, Shillong Peak. After reaching at Cherrapunjee visit, Noa Kalikai Water Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Waterfall etc. Enjoy overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 6 : Cherrapunjee - Guwahati (Approx 05 Hrs)

After a delicious breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati. Evening explore the local markets or one can enjoy River cruise on the river Brahmaputra (On Direct Payment & Subject to Availability). Enjoy overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 7 : Guwahati - Guwahati Airport / Railway Station Drop (30KMS/40minutes)

After your breakfast check out from the hotel and take the departure transfer to Guwahati Railway Station / Airport for your onward journey with unlimited memory of North East Tour.
